June is a Busy Month for HIV/AIDS

Every year, June 5th marks another anniversary for the first reported case of HIV/AIDS (we are now upon our 30th year; the first reported case was in 1981) and June 27th has been National HIV Testing Day for 17 years now.  These annual milestones remind all of us at UTAC, even more than usual, that HIV/AIDS desperately needs our attention and efforts.

The realization that we are 30 years into this epidemic and still seeking a cure, weighs heavy on our hearts and minds.  I personally have a tendency to get side-tracked by every article that mentions the 30-year anniversary; whether it be a personal anecdote or informational survey, I want to share all the information with the world.

With that being said, I would love to share with you all: HIV/AIDS At 30: A Public Opinion Perspective http://www.kff.org/kaiserpolls/8186.cfm
