Bicycling Empowerment Network opens new shop run by women


B.E.N. Namibia, an organization supported by Until There’s A Cure, announced the “new community-based bicycle shop,” which will operate “in partnership with the King’s Daughters.

The King’s Daughters is an organisation that provides counselling, rehabilitation, support, vocational training and work placement to former commercial sex workers.

The King’s Daughters Bicycle Shop will be run by six women, who have received training in bicycle mechanics and project management to prepare them to run it.
